Marvin Red Matthews - Our new family member

This is our new cat Marvin Red, or as I like to call him " GARFIELD "
He is Fat, just like Garfield, lol ... he is old, somewhere between 5-9 years old were just not sure.

Marvin is a Rescue cat, he is a Tabby Minx mix, he has a cropped tail and green eyes. He hates to be picked up, and just likes to sleep, but he needed a home, so we brought him to ours ♥

Spring Break Day 2

Today, we had a movie day, Taylor and I went to see the movie Water for Elephants. What a great movie. I read the book and have to say the movie was well done. knowing what was going to happen made the movie seen a little slow, but it was sooo goood! Bring the tissues, you'll need them.

Kenny and his friend Reid went to see Hanah. Didn't seem like a movie I'd like and I knew he would hate the one I wanted to see, so, we split up! What a great idea. It sure is nice that the kids are at the age I can do that.

Tomorrow we are either going to go to the Skagit Valley Tulip festival, or were going to go to Seattle for the day. Kenny has been begging to go to China town, and his favorite place to explore, Uwajimaya. So stay tuned, we will see what the day brings.

Spring Break

Now that it is finally spring break, I have been given an opportunity to catch up. I know I totally BLEW my New Years resolution, but not keeping my blog updated. But I just have to put my foot down and get to business.

This past almost 5 months has flew by. I am now faced with the realization that my Son Cody is going to be a Sophomore at WSU in a little less than 2 weeks. OMG is all I can say.

Taylor will be graduating from PHS this June and then she will also be off to college in the fall. She has been busy Senior, From all the sports she plays, and other activities, Right now we are in Fastpitch, and anyone who knows me, knows that baseball season is my favorite! {i♥watchingherplay}
She just goes out and gives it 100% ... She has such a good attitude!

Kenny, who now only has a year left of middle school will be soon be in High School, C R A Z Y! He is also in the middle of Little League, and is playing a a really good team this year. We are on the Marlins, and he has had such an amazing season so far, it makes me look forward to sitting in the cold {inMay} watching him play, and seeing the smile on his face when he hits the ball over the fence with bases loaded, or when he makes a game winning tag at home when the runner slides into his catchers mitt.

Ken is busy at work and trying to get the decks completed for Taylors graduation party, So much to do ...so little time.

Im still working at the School district, {i♥myjob} and also, at Toadilly Scrappin. I have been picking up some side jobs from friends and friends of friends, making invitations and party supplies. I just wish I had the time and money to do this full time, It is so much fun seeing the joy on the kids face when they come up with a theme, and seeing me bring it to life! {letmeknowifyouneedanythingdesigned} <--- short plug there

Happy first week of 2011

I am so Happt to report that we have had an AMAZING uneventful first week of 2011. This is going to be a great year !!!

We started off the New Year in Leavenworth, Washington. We had an amazing time, COLD, but it was so fun. I think the low was 1 ... And the High was 9 ...

Where did this year go ???

We all start off with the best of intentions, but this year so much has happened, so much of that was unplanned, I just let what I enjoy doing fall by the wayside ...

2011 is going to be different ... My New Years Resolution for 2011 is going to be more of a self fulfilling thing for me, I tried to do the project 365 last year, and in a perfect world, this would happen, my life, NO WAY.

But with Cell phones with internet and photo ready ...Im going to do my best to make sure I post at least once a week ... There is so much to look forward to in the next year ... It would be nice to have a better year to remember and not want to forget ... Don't get me wrong 2010 had alot of things that I will remember forever, Codys High School graduation, Kennys football team taking their 3rd straight PYF/NYSA 1st place championship, Kennys Soccer team going un-defeated and taking 1st place at school, Kennys surgury turning out the way we wanted it to, and having a family that is healthy and happy ... So keep on checking back

Forks ☼ Twilight Tour

Well we went to forks and did the Twilight thing, It was oddly fun ... We know that the movies were not filmed there, but it was fun! ThanksTay, Lacy & lilly for the fun day!!!

Graduation sen10r 2010

Well another school year has come to an end, and for me it was a sad end, My oldest Cody, has officially graduated from high school, and is getting ready to begin the journey that is college.  He has always know what he has wanted to do in life, but doing it will be a long hard road. I know if anyone can do it, it will be Cody.  He will be leaving in August for W.S.U. he will study science and biology, and then return to Seattle for dental school at U of W, Codys goal is to get his DDS and then specialize in Ortho.

Well, another year of baseball is well under way and

Kennys season started off with 3 losses in a row, followed by 5 wins in a row ... so were going with, were on a winning streak and lets hope it continues

Kenny has fell right back into the swing of things ... given his recent injury
we were not 100% sure that was going to be as easy as it hs been, but
He has been catching, pitching, and playing 3rd and you would never know 6 weeks ago he was fresh from surgury

Taylor and Shelbi

Taylor has been playing fastpitch for the high school ... She started off on C-Team and has been pulled up to J.V. which is amazing since she has only played for 2 years .. pretty good ... she hits almost every at bat, and is the star outfielder ... She loves outfield, she gets most of the plays there, and they really count on her.

The College Letters keep pouring in

Its so sad to admit how happy and proud I am of Cody, Sad because if I admit it outloud, then all the acceptance letters are one step closer to Codys graduation, going off to college, are starting his life as an adult, I just dont feel old enough to have a son in college, Didnt we just go off to school???

I treasure the fun times we have had, look forward to the ones yet to come, and Sad to see my boy all grown up.  shhh.   >tear< dont tell him, but Im so going to miss his quick wit!

Todays Doctor visit was a good one ...
The Pin looks good, Healing has started, all the swelling is gone and Kenny has his cast!
It is such a releif for me, It was really hard to allow Kenny to go to school knowing he didnt have a REAL cast on his hand, knowing what middle schoolers are like, Of course I fear the worse and can picture some kid bumping Kenny and having to go into Surgury again to fix the damage. But that didnt happen and he is all good. We will have this cast for 3 weeks and then they will take this one off and remove the pin, and re cast for another 2 weeks, after that we are hoping to be on the mend at 100% for the upcoming Baseball season.

Kennys wrist at St. Anthony's before they tried to set it, He fell off his Rip-Stick and landed on his hand, he hit so hard that his growth plate along the outside arm bone came clean off and went up his arm to the right (about 5 inches up) he also broke his wrist.

They tried so hard to fix it on Tuesday night, but nothing was working. St. Anthonys in Gig Harbor is AWESOME! I can't say that enough, and Dr. Friedman at Harbor Ortho is GREAT.  They got Kenny into surgury at noon on Wednesday, Everything went great and he is on the mend!

My Nephew Jacob and his 2 boys came to visit us today ... I couldn't resist taking a pix of all of the cousins ... Jake is in the Marines and is currently here on leave from Texas and fresh from Fallujah (I think) We are thankful every day that he is okay!

This is my Willow Tree Nativity set, and it is one of my most favorite things to pull out each Christmas, I find that I can hardly wait for the Thanksgiving turkey to be put away, and Christmas decorating begins ... And today, I'm sad because it's boxed up until next year ♥

Thanksgiving 2009

Well, another Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I have made promises to get my blog updated, so I am going to do my best to re-cap each night until the end of the year, so keep checking in for updates.

Puyallup Fair 2009

Well we made the trek to the Puyallup fair ... As usual, we had the typical fair favorites, Earthquake Burgers, Elephant Ears, Fischer Fair Scones, Funnel Cakes, and Carmel Apples (i only had part of the funnel cake) But the kids ate until they were sick ... They rode rides, played games, Such Fun

First day of School

Well we have all survived our first week back to school. Its just Crazy to me that Cosy is a senior this year, and this same time next year he will be a Freshman at a anunknown College (still deciding where) These pictures mean so much, This is the LAST first day of school picture of Cody. I have 14 years of first day of School photos and he has grown so much. Wow!

Taylor is a junior this year, and she just made the High School Soccer team, and will be playing both for Varasity and J.V.

Kenny just started his first day of Middle School, and LOVES it, He, I think has grown the most over the past year, he has just finished up his Summer tournament baseball league, and jumped right into football which has been practcing all summer as well. Games start next weekend, so stay tuned!!!
